When i sat in front the keyboard of my P.C. to wirte the text of this website, I was motionless. I tried to put my thoughts in order, collect ideas and emotions in an attempt to give as much information as possible and at the same time put across all the love , the wonder, the amazament that the volcano always manages to give me. A difficult task indeed! I understood that I could do little... I can, in fact, tell you about the characterisitics of the rooms, how to reach us, suggest what to visit, advise on the most suitable periods to visit, and finally, to wish you many other holidays as rich in emotions as this one...

The rooms and the furnishings have been thought of whit you in mind, in the hope of putting a little magic into your stay. Indipendence entrance, private bathroom, furniture in warm art nouveau style, linen in pure white cotton, T.V. and drinks cooler.

The route to reach us is very scenic to admire and yet simple...

- Take the Giarre exit on the Messina –Catania motorwayand follow thre signs to St. Alfio and then Milo. Before arriving at Milo, you will pass throught Fornazzo.. you have arrived! In front of the little church!

- If you came from Zafferana etnea, follow the signs for Milo and then Fornazzo.

For trips and excursions you have spoilt for choice! right in front our Villa is the Etna Park Visitors’ Centre, which , thanks to expert guides, is able to suggest itineraries for all levels  and abilities for those who like to go horse- riding, Asilandia offers its guests possibility of tasting asses’ milk. The festivals that I advise you not to miss are the “Vinimilo” (wine festival) at Milo in september and “Ottobrata” (October festival) at Zafferana in october , where you can taste and buy all the delicacies which are produced and made around Etna.

The best periods to visit? -All four seasons!!-

• In Summer the sea at Marina di Cottone or the shady pinewoods of Linguaglossa, but also the waterpark of Etnaland or the Gorge of Alcantara.

• In Autumn Etna and its surrounding countryside is full of atmosphere of the festivals. Occasions not to be missed for those who love good food and Sicilian products.

• Winter brings a magic atmosphere with fairytale snowflakes arriving puntually at the end of  December.

• And even if it is more difficult to go on excursions in the mountain, in this period, it is however, very nice to indulge in a hot chocolate at 1.600 metres above sea level at the mountain refuge of Citelli. 

• In Spring brings with it an explosion of nature around the volcano.

The room trees are the splendour of this period and, with their yellow and white colours, are the ideal background for trips and excursions. 

Where to eat

The holiday farmhouse Le Quercie is ideal for those who like traditional cooking.Vegetables, quality meats, desserts and home-made conserves are some of the products that Mrs. Rosa offers with delightful courtesy. But for those who prefer pizza, there is a choice between: L’Antica pizzeria quattro Archi or the club Nonna vita                                                                                 

Prices

Finally, some informatin about prices of our rooms which vary from 55 to 65 euros for two people. Reasonable don’t you think?  I ’am sure thatI haven’t been exhaustive because there are many more important things to say...but if I tell you everything

I will take away the fascination of surprise!! And even if I don’t see you because you have chosen another destination...Have a nice holiday just the same!I hope, however, to have passed on a little enthusiasm for my land. If so.. I am happy!!!
